Juan Pablo Montoya will bring the field to the green flag with Denny Hamlin filling the front row. Hamlin’s teammate, Joey Logano, starts 3rd and Regan Smith in 4th. To finish out the top 10: Tony Stewart, David Ragan, Jeff Burton, Kyle Busch, Ryan Newman and Mark Martin.
Juan Pablo is searching for his first career Sprint Cup win on an oval track, while Kyle Busch looks to continue his dominance and make it a sweep for two weekends in a row.

Lap 200– Checkered Flag– Kevin Harvick wins it with a last lap pass! Auto Club 400 Top Ten: Kevin Harvick, Jimmie Johnson, Kyle Busch, Matt Kenseth, Ryan Newman, Carl Edwards, Clint Bowyer, Brian Vickers, Kasey Kahne and Juan Pablo Montoya.
Lap 199– White Flag– Kevin Harvick tries the outside of the track in turns 1 and 2, bumps Jimmie Johnson and passes him in turn 3.
Lap 198– Jimmie Johnson leads his first lap of the day. Three way battle for the lead between Jimmie Johnson, Kyle Busch and Kevin Harvick. Harvick takes over second as Kyle Busch slides up the track.
Lap 197– Top 10: Kyle Busch, Jimmie Johnson, Kevin Harvick, Ryan Newman, Matt Kenseth, Carl Edwards, Clint Bowyer, Brian Vickers, Kasey Kahne and Greg Biffle.
Lap 195– Kyle Busch fights off Jimmie Johnson to lead at the line. Clint Bowyer, Kasey Kahne and Brian Vickers battle for seventh.
Lap 192– Joey Logano must serve a pass through penalty for passing before start-finish line.
Lap 191– Green flag as Kyle Busch leads the field, followed by Jimmie Johnson. Clint Bowyer and Ryan Newman battle for third.
Lap 190– Drivers that did not pit are: Kyle Busch, Jimmie Johnson, Tony Stewart, Clint Bowyer, Kevin Harvick, Ryan Newman, Carl Edwards, Landon Cassill
Lap 188– Pit road is now opened. All cars up to seventh position stay out. Matt Kenseth first to pit and is followed by all the drivers running behind him.
Lap 185– 4th Caution out for Bobby Labonte, slams the wall after cutting a tire. Pit road stays closed.
Lap 183– Kyle Busch leads Jimmie Johnson by only 0.71 seconds. Stewart, Bowyer, Newman, Harvick, Kenseth, Edwards, Burton and Kahne round out the top 10.
Lap 180– Jimmie Johnson passes Tony Stewart for second. Clint Bowyer and Ryan Newman battle for fourth. Brian Vickers and Earnhardt Jr battle for 11th.
Lap 179– Tony Stewart and Jimmie Johnson battle for second position as Kevin Harvick and Clint Bowyer close on them. Kyle Busch continues to lead.
Lap 177- Trevor Bayne scrapes the wall again, no caution. 23 laps to go.
Lap 175– Four wide in turns one and two, Greg Biffle, Paul Menard, Juan Pablo Montoya, David Reutimann, Jamie McMurray all battling for position.
Lap 174– Green flag is waved, Kyle Busch leads field to green. Harvick and Newman battle for fourth.
Lap 171– 3rd Caution out for Andy Lally, spins in turn 4. Landon Cassill gets free pass.
Lap 169– Kyle Busch and Tony Stewart hit pit road, both take four tires and a full tank of gas.
Lap 167– Green flag pit stops have started, Regan Smith and Matt Kenseth in first. Kyle Busch continues to lead as Stewart and Harvick close the gap.
Lap 158– Top 10: Kyle Busch, Tony Stewart, Kevin Harvick, Jimmie Johnson, Brian Vickers, Matt Kenseth, Clint Bowyer, Ryan Newman, Paul Menard, Greg Biffle
Lap 147– Kyle Busch leads Stewart by 4.41 seconds. Kyle Busch making his way through lap traffic.
Lap 144– Brian Vickers and Jimmie Johnson battle for 4th, Johnson makes the pass.
Lap 139– Tony Stewart gives up lead to hit pit road.
Lap 137– Green flag pit stops have begun, Regan Smith in first. Kyle Busch hits pit road next followed by Ryan Newman and Brian Vickers.
Lap 134– Hendrick Motorsports running order: Johnson in 6th, Earnhardt Jr in 15th, Martin in 16th, Gordon in 17th.
Lap 131– Greg Biffle biggest mover, started 31st and is currently running in 10th.
Lap 128– Stewart-Haas Racing running strong with Stewart in 2nd and Newman in 3rd.
Lap 127– Richard Childress Racing running order: Harvick in 4th, Bowyer in 8th, Menard in 9th, Burton in 13th.
Lap 125– Points leader coming into Fontana, Kurt Busch, is now in 26th position after scraping the wall.
Lap 122– Jeff Burton with a strong rebound, battling Juan Pablo Montoya for 12th, can’t make the pass. Burton slides back and is passed by Truex Jr.
Lap 120– 26 cars on lead lap, 9 leaders and 14 lead changes. 80 laps to go.
Lap 116– Denny Hamlin official out of the race. Engine failure. Joe Gibbs Racing continues to struggle with engines.
Lap 115– Kyle Busch leads Stewart, has led 71 of 115 laps. Remember, he is in his back up car after wreck in Friday’s practice.
Lap 112– Harvick passes pole-sitter Montoya for sixth position. Montoya shuffled back to eighth. Harvick now looking to pass his teammate, Bowyer, to break the top five.
Lap 110– Brian Vickers in fourth, running the high line. Kurt Busch into the wall coming out of turn 2, no caution. Kurt Busch currently sits 24th.
Lap 109– Clint Bowyer battling Matt Kenseth for seventh. Bowyer makes the pass.
Lap 107– Back to green, Kyle Busch with a great restart to lead the field.
Lap 105– Denny Hamlin pushed back to garage, team hoping to fix the issue and get back out for laps. Every point matters.
Lap 104– Denny Hamlin’s crew switches out ignition boxes and diagnose the exact problem. Kyle Busch leads field off pit road followed by Vickers, Newman and Stewart.
Lap 103– 2nd Caution out for debris. Lead lap cars hit pit road.
Lap 102– 26 cars on the lead lap, David Gilliland blows right front, headed to pit road.
Lap 100– Reached half way point, top 10: Kyle Busch, Stewart, Newman, Vickers, Johnson, Harvick, Truex Jr, Martin, Kenseth, Bowyer
Lap 93– Kyle Busch passes Tony Stewart to take back over the lead. Hamlin continues to struggle with his car and at his current pace, will go a lap down. Crew might change ignition switch.
Lap 89– Stewart passes Kyle Busch for second and blows past Newman for first.
Lap 83– Trouble for Denny Hamlin, appears to be blowing up. More engine trouble for Joe Gibbs Racing?
Lap 82– Running order: Newman, Kyle Busch, Stewart, Johnson, Martin, Truex Jr, Vickers, Montoya, Kurt Busch, Menard
Lap 80– Green Flag waves, Newman passes Stewart for first and leads the lap.
Lap 78– Stewart-Haas Racing teammates will lead the field to green, Stewart in first and Newman in second.
Lap 76– Tony Stewart stays out, only car on the lead lap to stay out.
Lap 75– 1st Caution– Debris in turn 3, huge break for Jeff Burton after suffering a penalty for speeding on pit road.
Lap 70– Jeff Burton must pass through, speeding on pit road is the penalty.
Lap 68– Kyle Busch, Hamlin, Vickers in for green flag pit stops. Truex Jr leads, still has to pit.
Lap 66– New record, most laps ran without caution to begin the race here at Auto Club Speedway. Green flag pits stops begin.
Lap 65– Stewart on the move, passes Hamlin for third position.
Lap 61– Joey Logano up to 20th after starting at the rear of field for changing their engine.
Lap 57– Truex Jr passes Hamlin for second. 4.5 seconds behind leader Kyle Busch. Truex Jr biggest mover, started 25th.
Lap 52– Notable Drivers: Montoya in 8th, Edwards in 11th, Harvick in 12th, Johnson in 14th, Jeff Gordon in 15th, Earnhardt Jr in 19th, Menard in 21st, Kurt Busch in 24th, Bayne in 29th
Lap 47– Tire changer for Dale Earnhardt Jr’s crew is injured, appears a pulled hamstring.

Lap 40– Green flag pit stops have completed, Kyle Busch back to the lead followed by his teammate Denny Hamlin and Vickers in third.
Lap 37– J.J. Yeley leads a lap before coming into pit. Yeley runs out of gas heading into turn 3, no caution.
Lap 35– Johnson leads before coming into pit.
Lap 32– Green flag pit stops begin.
Lap 31– Brian Vickers up to fifth as Montoya and Burton battle for third. Montoya edges Burton.

Lap 18– Regan Smith shuffled back to 16th after starting fourth.
Lap 16– Jeff Burton passes Matt Kenseth for fourth position. Clint Bowyer now challenging Kenseth for fifth.
Lap 15– Fan favorite, Dale Earnhardt Jr on the move, up to 19th after starting 30th.
Lap 12– Kyle Busch takes over second, Montoya to third. Matt Kenseth and Jeff Burton round out top five.
Lap 8– Hamlin and Montoya battle for the lead, Hamlin is the new leader.
Lap 6– Tony Raines blows an engine, we stay green.
Lap 3– Montoya leads, Denny Hamlin in second and Kyle Busch up to third. Bayne into wall, no caution.
Lap 1– Montoya stays out front and leads first lap.
