With the race sponsor on his his hood, championship contender Elliott Sadler took his OneMain Financial Chevrolet to the top of the board with a lap of 153.734 mph in Nationwide qualifying at Dover International Speedway.

Sadler ousted Joey Logano from the provisional pole with nine drivers remaining in Saturday’s qualifying session and survived an onslaught from five Nationwide regulars and four additional Cup drivers to win his 10th career Nationwide Series pole.

“Good race car, my guys did a good job,” said Sadler following his fourth pole run of 2011. “To be able to qualify on the pole and get a good pit selection on this narrow pit lane is huge. Proud of my guys.”

Carl Edwards merely missed the pole for Saturday’s race, settling for the outside pole after trailing Sadler by only .001 seconds. Cup regulars Joey Logano and Clint Bowyer qualified third and fourth with rookie Ryan Truex in fifth. Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Kasey Kahne, Brad Keselowski, Trevor Bayne and Kenny Wallace rounded out the top 10.

Championship contender Reed Sorenson qualified 19th.
