Analysis: If there’s anyone better on superspeedways in the Camping World Truck Series other than Todd Bodine, they must be incredible. Bodine won consecutive Talladega races in 2007 and 2008, and holds the highest average running position of 4.5 as well as holding the title of most Talladega laps lead with 85. Last year, Kyle Busch was able to win this race in thrilling fashion, but not until after the dominant truck of the day, Ron Hornaday Jr. was knocked out due to an accident. Austin Dillon and James Buescher showed speed at the season opener in Daytona. Buescher was credited with a ninth place effort, while Dillon was forced out of the race after ‘the big one’ claimed his RCR Chevrolet.

- Last weekend in Las Vegas, Ron Hornaday Jr. was able to once again prove that an old man can still wheel one of these Camping World Trucks as he picked up his second consecutive victory in dominant fashion. Hornaday has now won five races on the season which have taken him from being a possible threat, to an almost guaranteed contender for the series crown.

-Last year’s NCWTS race at Talladega Superspeedway saw one of the most exciting finishes in series history. Kyle Busch was able to edge out former teammate Aric Almirola by a mere  0.002 seconds, the closet finish in series history since electronic scoring was implemented.

- After appearing to throw in the towel early last weekend in Las Vegas, Austin Dillon was able to salvage his points lead over now second place, Johnny Sauter. James Buescher appeared to be in the driver’s seat for the championship until teammate Blake Feese lost control of his truck underneath Buescher, forcing Buescher behind the wall. Buescher now sits seven points back of the top spot, with Sauter right ahead of him only five points off of Dillon.

- Nationwide and Cup Series veteran Mike Wallace makes a rare appearance in a Camping World Truck this weekend in ‘Dega’. Wallace will pilot the No. 33 Anderson’s Maple Syrup Chevrolet for Kevin Harvick Incorporated. Widely regarded as one of the best restrictor plate racers in all of NASCAR, Wallace should be one the series regulars and Cup dippers will have to look out for if they want to win Saturday.
