NCWTS: Ron Hornaday Takes Pole In Las Vegas- Starting Lineup

After claiming his milestone 50th career NASCAR Camping World Truck Series victory two weeks ago in Kentucky, Ron Hornaday Jr. took his good luck to Sin City as he claimed the pole for Saturday’s Smith’s 350 at the Las Veags Motor Speedway. Hornaday, who was put his #2 Kevin Harvick Incorporated Chevrolet into the third spot in the final practice session on Friday afternoon, set the fast time of 176.056 mph around LVMS in Keystone Light qualifying.

Points leader, Austin Dillon was able to keep his ‘hot streak’ alive while placing a little more pressure on second place, James Buescher as Dillon put his truck on the outside of the front row for Saturday’s race. Buescher, claimed the sixth position in his Turner Motorsports Chevrolet.

2011 NASCAR K&N East Series champion, Max Gresham will make his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series debut for Turn One Racing this weekend at LVMS. Engine problems plauged the #66 team to a 32nd place qualifying effort for the young driver.

Dillon, Kligerman,Sauter, Crafton,Buescher,Piquet Jr.,Ickler, Carmichael and Peters rounded out the top 10 positions.
