Turner Motorsports has made quite an impression during their time in NASCAR. Operating four Camping World Trucks and Nationwide teams in 2012, they have made a commitment as a home for young up-coming drivers to make their names in NASCAR’s lower ranks. Steve Turner, the owner, has further stated his commitment to that motto with his announcement on Wednesday.
For the 2012 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season, Miguel Paludo will join the Tuner Motorsports family, running full-time for the series championship. Coming off his first full season in NASCAR, Paludo recorded three top-fives and seven top-tens during his first season with Red Horse Racing.
Paludo will team along side James Buescher, Ricky Carmichael and the recently added and fellow Brazilian, Nelson Piquet Jr.
Proving to have some of the top equipment in the series after running for the 2011 title with Buescher, the move should allow the Brazlian to flourish behind the wheel of his new Chevrolet.
Driving the No.7 with sponsorship from Stemco/Duroline in 2011, no sponsorship nor number has been released at this point in time. There has also been no word on how long the deal is for the combination.
Bringing a diverse international background to TMS, Paludo looks to find elusive success in NASCAR’s “toughest” series.
