Lately, Greg Biffle is sitting on top of everything in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.

Coming into Bristol, Biffle leads the points by 1o over Kevin Harvick, and on Sunday, Biffle will lead the field of 43 cars to the green flag. With a lap time of  15.324 seconds/ 125.215 mph Biffle survived to sit on the pole by just 0.001 seconds over second place A.J. Allmendinger.

“I have to pinch myself, I can’t believe this is real,” Biffle said to Speed reporters about his lap. “Everything is going right, right now.”

Even though Biffle thought he had a fast lap he didn’t think he had a lap fast enough to win the pole especially with cloud cover that moved over the track.

“I’m so happy, excitied [about the qualifying lap], I’m not happy about the cloud cover,” Biffle said after his qualifying lap.

After all the cars made their laps on the track, the cloud cover didn’t play a factor and Biffle and his No. 16 Roush-Fenway Racing Ford stayed on the pole position for the Food City 500 on Sunday.

Biffle becomes the fourth different pole sitter for the young 2012 season.

This is Biffle’s first career pole at Bristol and the tenth of his career. Previously Biffle had qualified second second, three times, at the Bull ring of Bristol.

“I’m having the time of my life,” Biffle said. “I’m having a great time right now.”

Through the first four races of the season, Biffle has started in the top-10 in each race. His best, and worst finish so far is 3rd.

Allmendinger who will start second in Sunday’s race will make his third top-10 start at Bristol. Ryan Newman, Jeff Gordon and Brad Keselowski round out the top five for Sundays race.

Joey Logano, who will start 9th, was the fastest Toyota to qualify.

Timmy Hill was the only driver that failed to qualify after Robby Gordon withdrew his entry into the race earlier in the day.
