Ricky Stenhouse Jr. won the standalone race at Iowa Speedway on Sunday, earning his first career Nationwide victory. The victory was sweet revenge from last year’s race, where he crashed in practice, qualifying and the race itself.

“Iowa definitely wasn’t my favorite place, but it is now,” said Stenhouse. “We crashed, I think, three cars that weekend and to come back this strong, says a lot to these guys.”

Stenhouse Jr. battled off teammate Carl Edwards and 2009 Iowa winner, Brad Keselowski to be the first Nationwide regular to visit victory lane since Justin Allgaier did in March, 2010.

Race runner-up, Carl Edwards made it a 1-2 finish for Roush Fenway Racing, topping off quite possibly the best weekend of the race teams career (David Ragan won the Sprint Showdown, Edwards won the All-Star race).

Brad Keselowski finished in the third position, with Reed Sorenson and points leader Elliott Sadler rounding out the top five.
